Additional Real ID criteria provides that the DMV shall not employ a person if they have been convicted of a felony within 7 years of their application or if an applicant was released from incarceration for one of these crimes within five years of their application including Unlawful Firearm Violations, Extortion, Fraud, Bribery, Smuggling, Immigration Violations, Distribution of Controlled Substances, Arson, Kidnapping, Rape or Sexual Abuse, Assault With Intent to Kill, Robbery or Fraudulent Seaport Entry. 103 provides that an agency involved in the issuance of Real ID Driver's Licenses and Identification Cards shall not knowingly employ a person if they have been convicted of any of the felonies listed under this regulation, which include Espionage, Sedition, Treason, Terrorism, Transportation Security Incident, Improper Transportation of a Hazardous Material, Unlawful Possession of Explosives, Murder, Making any Threat Concerning a Lethal Device, or Racketeering. ![]() Convictions in the following are also disqualifying: Fraud, Theft, Embezzlement, Forgery, Counterfeiting, Falsely impersonating another. Identified are Posting or displaying the Social Security Number of another person, Unlawful acts regarding Personal Identifying Information (PII), Unlawful acts regarding computers and information services, Use of Payment Cards, re-encoders and scanning devices to defraud, Unlawful acts regarding credit cards and debit cards. Any convictions identified in NRS 205 disqualifies any employee or vendor employee from obtaining access to the DMV Computer System. ![]() The Department of Motor Vehicles is required to comply with NRS 239B.010.1.b and 6 CFR 37.45 which allows an agency to conduct a Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) fingerprint clearance check. This certificate must have the Company Name, Phone Number, Date and Signature of Test Administrator. The typing certificate may be attained through any Nevada Job Connect office, Community College, Manpower office or other staffing agencies (to give examples). NO SELF- ADMINISTERED or ON-LINE TYPING TEST/CERTIFICATE WILL BE ACCEPTED. MANDATORY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: A typing certificate (issued within the last 6 months) must accompany your application and must verify your net typing speed of at least 30 words per minute in a five (5) minute test.
